Monumentex (A.L. Stone Works)

Our workshop has been operating since 1997. We make memorial headstones and help plan their design, from the stone and shape to inscriptions and artistic details. We work in northern Israel, from Atlit to Kiryat Shmona.

Ordering and payment

In most cases, you can order a memorial remotely — through WhatsApp or by phone. However you choose to place your order, we will prepare a detailed sketch and send it to you for approval. You will be able to see what the memorial will look like, check the shape, inscriptions and artistic design, discuss the details and request changes before production begins.

If you prefer to meet in person, we can visit you at home. If you are able to, though, it is best to visit our workshop in Kiryat Bialik, at 17–19 HaHaroshet Street. Here you can see how we work and create a sketch of the memorial with us on the computer — choosing the shape, inscriptions and artistic details and taking an active part in the design.

We are confident in the quality of our work, so we require no advance payment. Payment is made after the work is completed and the memorial is installed at the cemetery.

(For large custom and exclusive projects that require the purchase of non-standard and expensive materials, payment terms are agreed separately.)

Choosing a memorial and material

Our memorial catalogue presents memorials for the various types of burial practised in Israel, including civil burial. Completed works in the catalogue can serve as a starting point for your own ideas. You can choose a memorial you like, discuss changes or suggest your own design. We will help plan the shape, combination of materials and artistic details, then choose how to carry out the work.

We work with all types of stone used to make memorials in Israel that are suitable for the local climate. We will help you choose a material based on its properties, the appearance you want and your budget.

You can learn more about the advantages, possible drawbacks and care of each material in the Useful Information section.

Inscriptions and artistic design

The font, artwork and placement of an inscription form the overall appearance of a memorial. We help choose lettering for names, dates and words of remembrance, as well as symbols, portraits and images.

We provide sandblasted inscriptions and symbols, artistic stonework, carving and shaped elements. We agree the design details with you to reflect your loved one's character, interests and life.

Useful Information

This section is continually being expanded. Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions, as well as information about cemeteries and religious councils: addresses, contact details, types of burial and rules for memorial design. We collect and update this information to help you find the details you need during a difficult time. If you have not found an answer, you can send us your question.

Reviews of our work
